Steve Hargett is one of three brothers that own and run Dynamic Athletix. The goal at Dynamic Athletix is to design a training protocol that best suits each individual to accomplish their goal.
As former Marine and current competitive athlete, Steve has always looked for the most effective training system to gain a competitive edge. This pursuit has led him on a journey of training with many systems including Olympic Lifting, Kettlebell training, Pilates, Under Armour’s Combine 360, and most recently, Bommarito’s Performance Systems.
The result of this journey was the understanding that every style of training can play a part in successful programming. However a combination of the best aspects of each one is even better. More importantly the professional must understand that each and every individual is different, and although one style of training may be good for one person it may not be good for another.
Every individual must be properly assessed and placed in a individualized training program that is best suited to their needs. The need for proper assessment protocol led him to Greg Roskopf’s Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT). MAT puts all pieces together when it came to assessing, addressing, and progressing individuals through a system that is best suited to helping accomplish their goals.
Steve is a Muscle Activation Techniques Specialist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA, Functional Movement Screen trained, USA Weightlifting Level 1 Club Coach, Bommarito Performance Trained, and a member of USA Track and Field Association (USATFA).
When not at Dynamic Athletix you can find Steve on the Jiu Jitsu mats training. He is a Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and a World Champion in 2013 and 2015. You can also find him at home with his wife, and Dynamic Athletix Co-founder, Amy, and their three girls Alana (4), Reagan (3), and Aryia (1).
